Just a friendly reminder about the after hours services available at West Invercargill Health
In March after the announcement of the closure of the Invercargill Urgent Doctors, we contracted the services of Practice Plus practiceplus.nz/ - this is a virtual clinician based service and is available from 9am to 10pm weekdays and 8am to 8pm on weekends and public holidays.
The fee structure for Practice Plus is very similar to our own and we work closely with this organisation to ensure the best possible care for our patients. Here's a link to find out more about their fee structure - practiceplus.nz/pricing/
Just prior to Easter, Well South in partnership with Te Hau o Te Ora opened an after hours care clinic at their premises in Clyde Street. This is a similar setup to the previous Invercargill Urgent Doctors service and is available from 6pm to 9pm on weekdays and 12pm to 4pm on weekends and public holidays. There is also the option of HealthLine - 0800611116. HealthLine are a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week over-the-phone health service you can call for free health advice, information and treatment from professional healthcare providers.
And of course - we're always here to help and are open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with the exclusion of public holidays.

We are thrilled that the Ministry of Health has expanded their funding for flu vaccines!
We believe this is a great step in supporting wellness for our community.
If you'd like to book your flu vaccine, give the clinic a call on 03 777 9003Did you know that, as of yesterday, flu vaccines are now free for those of us with mental health conditions or accessing secondary or tertiary mental health services?
We're stoked to see this initiative promoted this flu season 💜🎉
Although people accessing mental health services are at greater risk of getting sick, these free flu vaccines haven’t come out of the blue – they're the result of hard mahi by champions such as the Equally Well collaborative, who we’ve worked with for a long time. This win for our country is a win worldwide, with Aotearoa setting a physical and mental health equity example for other countries to follow.
If you have a friend, whānau member or colleague who now qualifies for this free vaccine, spread the word! Let’s move towards an Aotearoa that is more #equallywell
